Read the following passage and choose the best answer to each question.
A CULTURAL DIVERSITY DAY AT GREENFIELD HIGH SCHOOL
Last Friday, Greenfield High School held its first Cultural Diversity Day. The event was organised to help students learn more about the different cultural communities represented at their school. Students prepared booths introducing the food, clothing and traditions of countries such as Việt Nam, India, South Korea, France and Nigeria.
At each booth, visitors could taste small traditional dishes, learn simple greetings and watch cultural performances. The main stage also featured interviews with students whose families had moved from other countries. They talked about celebrating different festivals at home and the challenges of adapting to a new culture.
Before the event, some teachers were concerned that the festival might present culture only through food and clothing. Therefore, the organisers added discussions about beliefs, family values, culture shock and common stereotypes. These activities helped students realise that culture includes not only visible traditions but also people's ideas and ways of life.
More than six hundred students, teachers and parents attended the event. According to the organisers, the festival encouraged participants to appreciate cultural differences and communicate more openly with people from other backgrounds. Because of its success, the school plans to hold the event again next year.
